At the heart of this leak protection sys-
tem there is an electric
which works like an automatic stop-
cock.
The
from water damage in the following
cases:
– Protection in the event of a leaking
machine.
Any leaking water is collected in a
sump in the base of the appliance. A
float switch switches off the
electrically no more water will
flow into the machine. Water in the
suds container is pumped away.
– Protection in the event of a leaking
water inlet hose.
Leaking water is fed into the sump
through the protective covering
which surrounds the inlet hose as a
"second skin". The float switch
switches off the water supply.
The machine should be connected to a
mains water supply in accordance with
standard regulations. The German au-
thorities do not require it to have a
non-return valve as the washing ma-
chine has been designed to comply
with DVGW regulations (German Asso-
ciation of Gas and Water Engineers,
see data plate).
The machine is designed to operate
with a minimum flow pressure of 1 bar.
There is a minimum flow pressure of 1
bar if 5 litres of water flow into a suit-
able container in 15 seconds.
The static water pressure must not ex-
ceed 10 bar. If it is higher than 10 bar it
is essential to fit a reducer valve.
protects
Connection to the mains water supply
should incorporate a mains stopcock
with 3/4" thread. The stopcock should
be fitted by a qualified plumber.
The connection point is subject to
mains water pressure. Turn on the
stopcock slowly and check for leaks.
Correct the position of the washer
and union if appropriate.
