Do not immerse the vacuum cleaner or any accessories
supplied with it in water. If any moisture gets into the appli-
ance, danger of electric shock. Clean the vacuum cleaner
and accessories only with a dry or slightly damp cloth when
disconnected from the power supply.
The Electrobrush, electric wand and electric hose con-
tain power cords. The plug connectors must not come in
contact with water. Danger of electric shock. They should
only be cleaned with a dry cloth.
Repairs should only be carried out on the vacuum
cleaner, the Electrobrush, the electric wand and the electric
hose by a Miele-authorized service technician. Repairs and
other work by unqualified persons can cause considerable
danger to users.
Miele may only guarantee the safety of the appliance
when genuine Miele replacement parts are used. Faulty
components should only be replaced with genuine Miele
parts.
Proper use
Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the FilterBag,
motor protection filter, and exhaust filter in place.
It is not possible to close the dust compartment lid if the
FilterBag is not inserted. Do not force it.
Before closing the dust compartment lid, always make
sure that the FilterBag has been inserted far enough and
has clearly clicked into position.
Do not vacuum up anything which has been burning or
smoking, e.g., cigarettes, ashes or hot ash, whether glowing
or apparently extinguished.
Do not use the vacuum cleaner to vacuum up any water,
liquid or damp dirt. Wait until any freshly cleaned or sham-
pooed rugs or carpets are completely dry before attempting
to vacuum.
