Important safety instructions
WARNING -
@® Before using the Cooker Hood
read and follow all basic Safety In-
structions
CAREFULLY
to avoid
personal injuries and damage to
the appliance.
Use the Cooker Hood
only for
household purposes.
The appliance complies with all re-
quired safety regulations. To avoid
danger to the user, repairs must be
carried out by qualified techni-
clans only.
Before servicing disconnect the
power supply by switching off the
circuit breaker or by removing the
plug of the unit.
Never allow an open flame under
the unit (i-@. during grilling, flambé,
etc.) as flames may be drawn into
the grease filter and could start a
fire.
Ensure that burners in use are al-
ways covered by a saucepan or
pot, as intense heat could damage
parts of the Cooker Hood.
Do not leave pots and pans unat-
tended, especially when cooking
with oil or grease, as overheated,
oil and fat can ignite and create a
fire hazard.
@® Never use Cooker Hood without a
grease filter.
@® The appliance must not be con-
nected to a chimney or vent flue
which is in use. If a gas water
heater or a gas room heater is in-
stalled in the kitchen, we frecom-
mend as a safety precaution that
this Cooker Hood should not be
used. Suction from the appliance
could cause a backflow of exhaust
ses from the chimney or vent
lue duct.
No danger exists if a vacuum
pressure of 0. 16" water lift is not ex-
ceeded.
This may be accomplished by en-
suring that sufficient fresh air is al-
ways available,
If you are not certain please con-
sult your local building authority.
lf the Cooker Hood is used in the
non-vented mode with charcoal fil-
ters, these
precaution
are
not
necessary.
